Longmeadow police Locate Missing 11-Year-Old Boy

Longmeadow Police Department successfully located an 11-year-old boy who had run away from home on Saturday morning. The boy went missing from his residence in the southern section of Longmeadow, prompting his mother to report the incident to the police around 9:41 a.m.
Upon receiving the report, officers immediately initiated a search for the missing child and activated an emergency response to expedite the search efforts. The Longmeadow Fire Department, Massachusetts State Police Troopers, and K-9 Units all joined forces to assist in the search. Drones were deployed, and the police K-9s conducted a thorough ground search.
To alert residents in the vicinity of the search, a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) notice was issued. Fortunately, at approximately 12:05 p.m., an alert passerby reported sighting a young boy who matched the description of the missing child. The sighting occurred one mile south on Route 5 in Enfield, Connecticut.
The boy was swiftly identified as the missing person and safely reunited with his family. The Longmeadow Police Department expressed their gratitude to all the agencies and individuals involved in the successful search and rescue operation.
