Body of Unidentified Youth Found Stuffed in Bag in Meerut
Meerut was rocked by a horrifying incident on Friday morning, as locals made a shocking discovery in the Lisadi Gate area. The body of an unidentified youth was found stuffed inside a bag, with his severed head also found in the same bag. The police are currently clueless about the identity of the victim, who appears to be in his early 20s.
Circle officer (Kotwali) Ashutosh Kumar commented on the incident, stating, “The body was found in the Amir Garden locality of Lisari Gate. We have taken custody of the body and forensic teams have been pressed into service. We are in the process of identifying the body.” One arm of the body is tattooed with the name ‘Sohail’, providing a potential lead for the investigation.
This is not the first such incident in the region. In August 2022, the headless body of a woman in her mid-20s was discovered. Subsequently, it was revealed that the woman was a local and had been murdered by her own father due to her relationship with a man. Another shocking incident took place on December 6 of the same year, when the badly bruised headless body of a 10-year-old boy with multiple stab wounds sent shockwaves through the Incholi region of Meerut. The case was handled by the Delhi police, as the child belonged to a labourer in the Preet Vihar Colony of the capital and had been kidnapped.

In related news, panic gripped Bharhara and adjoining villages after the bodies of two youths, identified as Sanjay Bharatiya and Sandeep Bharatiya, were discovered under mysterious circumstances. The cause of death is yet to be determined. Additionally, an unidentified man’s partially decomposed body was found on Kudven beach in Gorai. The man, estimated to be in his 40s, was wearing a smartwatch, which may help in identifying him. Furthermore, tension rose in the Belgharia-Kamarhati area as the body of missing eight-year-old boy, Imtiaz Ali Hossain, was found tied up and gagged in a pond. Locals demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits and scuffled with the police.
These incidents highlight the need for increased vigilance and swift action to ensure the safety and security of the residents of Meerut and its surrounding areas. The police are actively investigating these cases and are determined to bring the perpetrators to justice..
