Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Three Young Indian Youths in Brampton
Three vibrant young Indian individuals had their lives cut short in a devastating accident that took place in Brampton, part of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), in the early hours of Thursday. The victims, identified as Reetik Chhabra, 23, his younger brother Rohan, 22, and their friend Gaurav Fasge, 24, were taken from their loved ones far too soon.
The Peel Regional police (PRP) reported that the accident occurred around 1:30 am in Brampton and was a result of high-speed driving. The collision proved to be fatal for the three young men, leaving the community in shock and disbelief. Initial reports suggested the involvement of a second vehicle, and the police have successfully located it. The suspected driver is currently in custody and awaiting charges related to the tragic crash.
Reetik and Rohan Chhabra, recent graduates from Seneca College, shared a basement apartment in Brampton and were employed at the Savarg Beauty Salon in town. Tirath Gill, the owner of the salon, expressed deep sorrow at the loss of the Chhabra brothers and their friend, stating, “I’m devastated. They were like family to me. We spent forty hours together every week, working side by side.”
The heartbreaking accident occurred on the same night as Reetik Chhabra’s birthday celebration. The trio had been out late, possibly returning home after enjoying a birthday dinner. While Reetik and Rohan hailed from Chandigarh, Gaurav Fasge was a native of Pune.

Tragically, the vehicle they were traveling in, a Volkswagen Jetta, collided with a pole near their residence, resulting in the loss of their lives. Friends of the victims have taken the initiative to start an online fundraiser, aiming to gather funds for repatriating Gaurav Fasge’s remains to India and covering the funeral expenses for the Chhabra brothers.
The Peel Regional Police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the incident. As the tight-knit community mourns the untimely departure of these three promising young souls, the impact of this tragic accident has left a profound void.
