Three young men from India have tragically lost their lives in a devastating accident that took place in Brampton, a town in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, leaving the community in shock and mourning.

The victims have been identified as Reetik Chhabra, 23, his younger brother Rohan, 22, and their friend Gaurav Fasge, 24. These three individuals, who had recently graduated from Seneca College, were living together in a basement apartment in Brampton. They were not only close friends but also colleagues, as they worked at the Savarg Beauty Salon in the town. Tirath Gill, the owner of the salon, expressed his deep sadness at the loss, describing the victims as family. He said, “We worked together every week for forty hours.”

The accident took place at approximately 1.30 am when the Volkswagen Jetta they were traveling in struck a pole. The Peel Regional police (PRP) arrived at the scene and pronounced the three young men dead. Preliminary information suggests that there may have been a second vehicle involved in the collision. The police have located the driver of the second vehicle and have them in custody, awaiting charges related to the crash. PRP has stated that “high speed” was a factor in the accident.

Reetik Chhabra was celebrating his birthday on the night of the accident, along with his brother and friend. It is believed that they were returning home after dinner when the tragedy occurred. The Chabbra brothers hailed from Chandigarh, while Fasge was from Pune.
