In a horrifying turn of events, the final two victims of a brutal massacre in the Mojave Desert have been identified. The shocking incident, which took place on January 23rd in a remote area near El Mirage, has left the community in shock and mourning for the lives lost.

The San Bernardino County deputies received a desperate call from one of the victims, Franklin Noel Bonilla, 22, who stated that he had been shot. Rushing to the scene, deputies, along with assistance from a California Highway Patrol airship, quickly discovered five bodies. The sixth victim was tragically found the following morning.

Authorities have revealed that all six victims had suffered gunshot wounds, with four of them also being burned. The four victims previously identified are Baldemar Mondragon-Albarran, 34, of Adelanto; Franklin Noel Bonilla, 22, of Hesperia; Kevin Dariel Bonilla, 25, of Hesperia; and Jose Ruelas-Calderon, 45, of El Mirage. The last two victims to be identified are Narcisco Sandoval, 47, and Adrian Ochoa-Salgado, 41.

Investigators have been working tirelessly to uncover the truth behind this heinous crime. They believe that the deadly shootings were the result of a dispute over illegal marijuana. At the scene, a dark-colored Chevrolet Trailblazer with an Oregon license plate was found with shattered windows and bullet holes. In stark contrast, a white Dodge Caravan minivan nearby remained undamaged.

Since the incident, authorities have made significant progress in their investigation. Using a combination of human and technological resources, they have apprehended five suspects believed to be connected to the massacre. The suspects have been identified as Toniel Baez-Duarte, 34, of Apple Valley; Mateo Baez-Duarte, 24, of Apple Valley; Jose Nicolas Hernandez-Sarabia, 33, of Adelanto; Jose Gregorio Hernandez-Sarabia, 34, of Adelanto; and Jose Manuel Burgos Parra, 26, of Adelanto.

While speculation has arisen regarding the possible involvement of cross-border drug trade, authorities have refrained from making any definitive statements. Sheriff Shannon Dicus of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department stated, “We can’t comment on if this is cartel-related or not.” However, the Shadow Mountain area, located just west of the crime scene, is known for its involvement in illicit marijuana incidents.
