According to police reports, as officers arrived at the scene, they were informed by the Emergency Communication Center that a man, described as heavier-set and carrying a book bag, had fired a firearm into the air before heading towards Lexington Avenue. Subsequently, officers conducted a search of the area and successfully located and detained a man matching the description. The individual was identified as 41-year-old Jonathan Ramos, a resident of Bridgeport.

During a pat-down search, officers discovered a loaded five-cylinder revolver with four live rounds and an empty shell casing. Additionally, a further search led to the discovery of fifty prescription pills and 15 grams of fentanyl, both of which were not in their original containers.

Meanwhile, the Bridgeport Police Fusion Center reported that a white SUV, reportedly linked to the incident, remained at the scene of the ShotSpotter alert. Officers located the vehicle and its two occupants, subsequently uncovering a loaded black firearm with no serial number and a large-capacity magazine attached. The two men, identified as 41-year-old Curtis Grant from Bridgeport and 27-year-old Tyreek Anslem from New York, were taken into custody.

Both Ramos and Grant are convicted felons, rendering their possession of weapons and ammunition illegal. Ramos faces charges including criminal possession of a firearm, illegal discharge of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, failure to keep narcotics in the original container, and possession of a controlled substance. His bond has been set at $150,000.
