Young Americus Native Ja’Cobi Brown Fatally Struck by Car in Warner Robins
An Americus native, Ja’Cobi Brown, tragically lost his life on Monday, February 5, after being hit by a car in Warner Robins, Georgia.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:19 a.m. when the Warner Robins police Department Patrol Division responded to a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle on Booth Road.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that a 19-year-old male pedestrian, identified as Ja’Cobi Brown, had been hit by a 2019 Infinity QX80. The SUV was traveling west on Booth Road, while traffic was heading east on the opposite side of the road.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver of the SUV was unable to see Brown before the collision. The impact occurred on the passenger side of the vehicle, near the headlamp. Evidence found at the scene suggests that Brown was in the roadway at the time of the accident.

Emergency Medical Services from Houston Healthcare promptly transported Brown to Houston Healthcare-Warner Robins Campus, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
The Warner Robins Police Department’s Traffic Unit is actively investigating the incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact Officer R. Greene at (478) 302-5378 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at (478) 742-2330.
According to the family’s description on a GoFundMe page created to assist with funeral and burial expenses, Brown was on his way to work at the time of the collision.
