In a tragic incident that unfolded during a Ramlila play in Haryana’s Bhiwani, a man playing the role of Lord Hanuman suffered a heart attack and collapsed on stage. The incident, which was caught on camera, has left the community of Ramlila performers in shock.

The performance took place on Monday, January 22, and was organized to celebrate the grand inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The deceased, identified as Harish Mehta, was emulating Lord Hanuman when he suddenly collapsed, leaving the audience initially believing it was part of the act.

A video clip of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing Mehta twirling as Lord Hanuman before collapsing to the floor. It took a grim moment of realization for the crowd to understand that Mehta was in serious trouble and not responding at all.

To shed light on the causes of heart attacks, Dr Pratibha Patil from Max Hospitals, Gurgaon, explained in an exclusive interview with TheHealthSite.com that poor lifestyle habits are mainly responsible for the rising number of cardiac deaths. These habits include poor eating habits, excessive alcohol intake, smoking, lack of physical activity, unmanaged high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, excessive weight gain, diabetes, and family history.

In light of the alarming increase in heart attack deaths, it is crucial to take steps to protect our hearts. Following a healthy diet, exercising regularly, quitting smoking, avoiding alcohol, controlling diabetes levels, monitoring blood cholesterol, and managing weight are some of the key measures that can help keep our hearts safe.
