Man arrested After Threatening Church Employee with Box Cutter
A man has been taken into custody after entering a local church and threatening one of its employees with a box cutter, according to authorities. The incident took place on Monday evening at the Street Life Ministries Church, located approximately 30 miles south of San Francisco, California. The Redwood city Police Department received a report of a subject threatening an employee with a blade at around 7:31 p.m.
The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Jorge Orozco, fled the scene after the confrontation. However, a vigilant individual who witnessed the incident followed Orozco and provided the police with his whereabouts. Police officers were able to locate and apprehend Orozco in a nearby neighborhood, thanks to the assistance of the eyewitness.
It remains unclear whether Orozco had any affiliation with the church or if he knew anyone there. The motive behind his threatening behavior towards the employee is also unknown at this time. However, authorities are actively investigating the incident to determine any possible connections or underlying reasons.
Following his detainment, Orozco was found to be in possession of a box cutter. The victim, as well as two witnesses, positively identified him as the person responsible for the threat. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the assault.

Orozco has been booked into the San Mateo County Jail on charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon. He will face legal proceedings as the investigation into the incident continues.
