man arrested in Connection with West Haven Shooting
A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that took place in West Haven early Saturday morning, according to local police.

The incident occurred when a resident in the area of Third Avenue called 911 at around 1 a.m. to report shots fired. The caller stated that they had witnessed a man, later identified as 33-year-old Robert McCray, firing a handgun multiple times outside before returning to a nearby residence.
Law enforcement officers swiftly arrived at the scene and surrounded the home. Upon ordering all occupants to exit the premises, no victims were found. However, during the process, officers discovered multiple shell casings and bullet holes, prompting them to secure the crime scene. The investigation was then handed over to the Detective Division.
Following the incident, McCray was taken into custody on charges including unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment, violation of a protective order, and several other offenses related to the incident.
