Man Sneaks into Union Minister’s Car in Lucknow Security Breach
Lucknow: In a shocking security breach, a man managed to sneak into the car of Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti while her convoy was stationed outside a dhaba in Banthra area of Lucknow on Wednesday night.

The man, identified as Deepak Upadhyay, 33, was apprehended by the minister’s security team and handed over to the local police. Upadhyay, who worked at a private company in Vibhutikhand, is said to be suffering from severe depression.
According to reports, the minister’s driver, Chetram, was tasked with picking her up from the airport on Tuesday. The security personnel were also present in the car when they made a stop at a dhaba around 5:30 am. Unfortunately, Chetram forgot to take the keys out of the car while standing a few steps away.
“In the meantime, a man entered the car and turned on the ignition. Hearing the engine, we immediately rushed to the car and overpowered the accused. He was then handed over to the police,” said a senior police officer.
Chetram speculates that the man may have thought the minister was inside the car. The police have taken Upadhyay into custody and begun their interrogation. It was revealed during questioning that Upadhyay wanted to have an audience with the minister to discuss his personal problems.

However, when his family was contacted, they claimed that Upadhyay had an unstable mind. The police are now investigating the incident further.
