Previous Encounter with Kettering Officers

In December, Hendricks was taken into custody following a pursuit with Kettering officers. The incident began near the intersection of Lamme Road and Lehigh Place, shortly before 8:30 p.m., as officers received information from Flock cameras regarding a driver wanted on multiple warrants passing through Kettering.

Multiple Warrants and Ongoing Escapes

Hendricks, who had previously evaded police on several occasions, was wanted for numerous failure to comply incidents. Whenever officers attempted to apprehend her, she would flee. A spokesperson for the Kettering Police Department mentioned that officers managed to locate Hendricks’ vehicle near West Stroop Road and Lamme Road. They then initiated a vehicle intercept, a tactic used to prevent her from escaping again.

Intentional Ramming and Continued Escape

Despite the intercept, Hendricks rammed into two KPD cruisers and continued to flee in her vehicle. Two other officers who were not part of the intercept continued the pursuit. However, Miami Township police deployed stop sticks near the intersection of Mad River Road and Fox Run, causing Hendricks’ vehicle to slow down. Taking advantage of the situation, an officer executed a successful PIT (Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver to put an end to the pursuit.

Court Appearance

Hendricks is scheduled to appear in court on February 1 to face the charges brought against her. Meanwhile, the Kettering Police Department is continuing its investigation into the incident.

As the legal process unfolds, it remains critical for law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of officers and the public by apprehending individuals who put lives at risk through dangerous actions on the road.
