Hendricks was taken into custody in December following a pursuit with Kettering officers. The chase started near Lamme Road and Lehigh Place after officers received information from Flock cameras that a driver with multiple warrants was passing through the area.

According to a spokesperson for the Kettering Police Department, Hendricks has a history of fleeing from police when they attempt to stop her. In this particular incident, officers located her vehicle near West Stroop Road and Lamme Road. They attempted a vehicle intercept to prevent her from fleeing again, but Hendricks rammed two KPD cruisers and continued to flee.

Two other officers who were not part of the intercept continued the pursuit until Miami Township police deployed stop sticks near the intersection of Mad River Road and Fox Run. As Hendricks’ vehicle slowed down due to the stop sticks, an officer successfully conducted a PIT (Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver to terminate the pursuit.

The incident highlights the dangers faced by law enforcement officers and the public during high-speed chases. It also raises questions about the effectiveness of measures taken to stop fleeing suspects safely.
