A 29-Year-Old Man in Critical Condition Following Scooter Collision

A 29-year-old man is currently in critical condition, while his 30-year-old sister-in-law sustained injuries, after their scooter collided with an Innova in Sector 54, Golf Course Road. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon as they were traveling from Genpact Chowk to AIT Chowk, according to the police.

The victim, Arshad Ali, was driving the scooter with his sister-in-law, Sahira, on the pillion. Shockingly, both were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident. The SUV, allegedly speeding, crashed into the scooter from behind, resulting in Arshad suffering multiple fractures on his pelvis and injuries to his face.

Arshad was initially taken to Max hospital but was later transferred to Akropolis Hospital in Badshahpur due to the severity of his injuries. Sahira, on the other hand, was admitted to a general hospital in Sector 56.

Ravinder Singh, Arshad’s colleague, filed a complaint at Sector 53 police station after receiving a call from the authorities about the incident. The police have identified the accused as Rajat Chauhan, a 24-year-old city resident and law student. They have assured that appropriate action will be taken as per the law.

An FIR has been registered against Rajat Chauhan under sections 279 (rash driving), 338 (injury by negligence), and 427 (causing property damage) of the IPC. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the police are determined to gather all necessary evidence to ensure justice is served.

In a separate and equally tragic incident, a 28-year-old man was found dead at the IFFCO Chowk underpass after being struck by a vehicle on the night between Saturday and Sunday. The police are currently working to identify both the victim and the responsible party. An FIR has been filed at the DLF police station under section 304 (death by negligence) of the IPC.
