Phagwara Youth Pleads Innocence On Camera Before Tragic Death at the Hands of Nihang Sikh
Kapurthala, Punjab – In a heart-wrenching incident that has left the community in shock, a young man was brutally killed with a sword inside a Gurudwara in Kapurthala on Tuesday morning. The accused, identified as Ramandeep Singh Mangu Math, recorded a video confessing to the crime and claiming responsibility for the murder before locking himself inside the room at Chaura Khooh Gurudwara.

The victim, whose identity remains unknown, was heard pleading his innocence in a video that has since gone viral on social media. In the footage, he vehemently denies any involvement in sacrilege and asserts that he is an honest and hardworking individual. Tragically, despite his pleas, the Nihang Sikh proceeded to take the young man’s life.
According to reports, the deceased admitted to being sent by someone to desecrate the Gurudwara Shri Choura Khooh Sahib. However, there is no evidence that he actually committed the sacrilege. It is unfortunate that the Nihang Sikh took the law into his own hands and resorted to violence instead of handing the youth over to the police for further investigation.
The incident has once again highlighted the alarming trend of individuals taking the lives of others with impunity in Punjab.
