Tragic Death of Two Indian Students in US Leaves Families in Shock
In a heartbreaking incident, two Indian students studying in the United States were found dead in their accommodation in Connecticut. The students have been identified as G Dinesh, a 22-year-old from Wanaparthy in Telangana, and Nikesh, a 21-year-old from Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh.

The families of the deceased are devastated and struggling to understand the cause of their loved ones’ sudden deaths. Dinesh’s family received a call from his friends, who live in a nearby room, informing them of the tragic news. They are left with no answers as to how he and his roommate lost their lives.
According to Dinesh’s family, he had traveled to Hartford, Connecticut for higher studies on December 28, 2023, and Nikesh joined him a few days later. The two students, who were mutual friends of some common acquaintances, decided to become roommates in the US.
The grieving family members have reached out for assistance from Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to facilitate the repatriation of Dinesh’s body. Wanaparthy MLA Megha Reddy has also extended support to the family during this difficult time.
However, the families have had no contact with Nikesh’s relatives as both students had recently embarked on their study abroad journey. Even the Srikakulam district administration remains unaware of any details regarding Nikesh and his family members.

Expressing his condolences, Wanaparthy MLA T Megha Reddy met with Dinesh’s family in their hometown and assured them of his support. He also discussed the matter with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who responded positively and promised arrangements to bring Dinesh’s body back to India.
This tragic incident has left the community shocked and mourning the loss of these promising young lives. The details surrounding their deaths remain unknown, adding to the anguish felt by their families and friends.
As investigations continue, the families eagerly await answers and closure, hoping to find solace in the memories of their beloved sons.
