Israeli Hostages Allegedly killed in Gaza Air Strikes: Hamas Releases Disturbing Video
In a distressing development, the Palestinian group Hamas has released a new video claiming to show the bodies of two Israeli hostages who they allege were killed in air strikes on Gaza. This comes just a day after Hamas released another video showing the hostages when they were alive, warning that their lives were at risk if Israel continued its bombardment.
The woman in the video, identified as Noa Argamani, speaks under duress, revealing that the two men she had been held captive with were killed. One of the men, identified as Itay Svirsky, was only 38 years old. Argamani claims that the men were killed by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) strikes and were buried under the rubble. She also credits Hamas fighters for saving her life, although the exact timing of the video remains unclear.

Israel, however, denies any responsibility for the deaths of the hostages. IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari dismissed Hamas’ claims as lies, stating that the building where the hostages were held was not a target. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant condemned Hamas for their “psychological abuse” of the Israeli society, emphasizing the need for military pressure to secure the release of more hostages.
The previous video released by Hamas on Sunday showed Noa Argamani, now 26 years old, along with the two men when they were still alive. The video pleaded with the Israeli government to halt its offensive and facilitate the release of the hostages. Sadly, the latest video seems to have shattered any hopes of a peaceful resolution.
The three hostages, including Svirsky, were among 240 people taken by militants in a series of Hamas raids in southern Israel on October 7th. These attacks triggered a violent response from Israel, leading to the intense bombardment of Gaza, resulting in the deaths of over 24,000 people, according to the Hamas-run health ministry. Palestinian officials report that 85% of Gaza’s population has been displaced, and the humanitarian situation has been described as “intolerable” by the UN’s humanitarian chief.
As Israeli forces continue to bomb targets across Gaza and clash with militants, Defense Minister Gallant has indicated that the intensive phase of operations against Hamas in southern Gaza will soon come to an end.
