Details have emerged about the light plane crash that occurred at a golf club near Boonah on Sunday, resulting in the tragic deaths of two experienced pilots. Airsport Queensland chief flying instructor, David Briffa, 69, and Armin Sickinger, 82, were identified as the victims of the horrific accident. Both men were highly regarded in the aviation community.
The incident unfolded when the new aircraft, recently purchased by Sickinger from New South Wales, crashed into the golf club. Golfers who were present at the time immediately alerted emergency services, but unfortunately, nothing could be done to save the lives of the two pilots.
