HYDERABAD: Engineering student fatally struck by bullet fired by motorbike snatchers

An engineering student tragically lost his life in Hyderabad when he was struck by a bullet allegedly fired by motorbike snatchers. The incident took place in the early hours of Monday at the Aamil Colony area near Heerabad.

The Market police reported that two suspects snatched a Honda CG-125 motorbike from an individual named Asadullah. During the vehicle snatching, the perpetrators fired gunshots in the air, and unfortunately, one of the bullets hit 21-year-old Hasnain Sammo. Sammo was a software engineering student at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro.

Hasnain Sammo, the victim, was immediately rushed to Liaquat University Hospital, where medical professionals declared him dead. The young man’s father, Zubair Sammo, is a Sub Inspector in the police department, but he was in Shikarpur district at the time of the incident. Following the postmortem, Hasnain’s body was transported to his hometown for burial.

This tragic incident has left the community in shock and mourning. Hasnain Sammo’s untimely demise has deeply saddened his family and friends, as well as his fellow students and faculty at MUET. His teachers describe him as a bright and dedicated student who had a promising future ahead of him.

Hasnain’s passion for software engineering and his commitment to his studies had earned him widespread respect among his peers. He was known for his friendly nature and willingness to help others. His loss will undoubtedly be felt by the entire university community.
