Corps member tragically found dead in Ogun apartment
A heartbreaking incident occurred on Wednesday, January 10, as the lifeless body of Medaiyese Emmanuel, a young National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, was discovered in his apartment on Sogbesan Street, Oluwo, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The shocking discovery was made when Emmanuel’s worried family members were unable to reach him on his mobile phone. Concerned for his well-being, his mother began seeking assistance to check up on him at his residence in Sogbesan.
Unable to establish contact with Emmanuel, his mother contacted one of his friends, Olumide, to express her concerns. Olumide immediately went to Emmanuel’s room, but to his dismay, the door was locked from the inside and there was no response.
Faced with this alarming situation, Olumide and some neighbors decided to force the door open. What they found inside was truly devastating – Emmanuel’s lifeless body.
At this stage, there is no evidence to suggest suicide or foul play, as there were no visible signs of violence on the deceased’s body. The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed this, stating that when the police visited the scene, they found him on the floor of his room. The body has since been taken to the state hospital for autopsy.
