Detroit Police Officer Released from Hospital After Being Shot During Exchange of Gunfire

During the incident, one suspect was not shot but suffered minor abrasions believed to have been sustained during an earlier shooting incident. The suspect has been identified as Barry Washington and has been charged with two counts of Assault with Intent to Commit Murder and six counts of firearms offenses by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
The second suspect, who was shot during the exchange of gunfire with the police, is currently being treated at a local hospital. They are not facing any charges at this time.
