Tragic Road Accident in Nepal Claims Lives of Eight, Including Two Indian Nationals

At least 12 people, including two Indian nationals, have tragically lost their lives in a devastating road accident that occurred in the Dang District of mid-western Nepal. The incident took place overnight at Bhalubang on Friday, late at night.

The passenger bus was on its way to Kathmandu from Banke’s Nepalgunj when it veered off the bridge and plunged into the Rapti River. According to Ujjwal Bahadur Singh, Chief Inspector of Police at the Area Police Office in Bhalubang, the identities of only eight deceased passengers have been confirmed so far, and this includes two Indians. He provided this information during a phone call with ANI.

The deceased Indians have been identified as Yogendra Ram, 67, from Malahi in Bihar, and Mune, 31, from Uttar Pradesh. The bodies of the victims have been transported to Lamahi Hospital for postmortem examinations, as stated by the Chief Inspector.

In addition to the fatalities, 22 passengers have sustained injuries in the bus accident. The police are continuing their investigations to determine the cause of the tragic incident.
