Toddler Identified as Victim of Tragic Driveway Accident in Sydney
An 18-month-old toddler has tragically lost her life after being struck by a four-wheel drive in a Sydney driveway. The young girl has been identified as Rishwika Salibindla. The incident occurred on Friday at around 5.20pm on Edna Ave in Toongabbie, leaving the family and community devastated.

Mourning family members gathered at the scene shortly after the accident, where paramedics desperately tried to save the little girl’s life. Despite their efforts, they were unable to revive her.
The incident took place as the toddler’s father was reversing out of the driveway on his way to the supermarket. Rishwika’s uncle, Joseph Salibindla, described the tragedy as a “terrible accident.” Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, he expressed the family’s heartbreak and disbelief, saying, “It is just heartbreaking. We can’t believe what has happened.”
Rishwika’s grieving mother and two older brothers were at home when the accident occurred. Joseph and his wife arrived at the scene to support them during this unimaginably difficult time. The inconsolable father was transported to Parramatta Police Station for questioning, as investigations into the incident continue.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up by a friend of the family to raise funds for Rishwika’s memorial. The community has rallied together to support the grieving family, who are now faced with the unbearable loss of their “beautiful” little girl.
