Police Shoot Dead 2 Suspects and Injure One in Separate Encounters in Hyderabad

The police in Hyderabad have been involved in two separate encounters resulting in the death of two suspects and the injury of one. The incidents occurred in the City police station and the Naseem Nagar check post of Qasimabad police station.

The spokesperson for the police stated that the City police were engaged in an exchange of fire with two armed suspects near Puqqa Qila Chowk. During the firing, both suspects sustained fatal gunshot wounds and one died on the spot while the other succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Imran Chandio, son of Deedar Chandio, and Ali Hassan alias Dilbar, son of Muhammad Yousuf Malik. Both suspects were in their early 20s and resided in the Lalu Lashari area with their parents.

Following the encounter, two citizens named Iqbal and Tauseef approached the City police and reported that they had been robbed by the same two suspects a few hours before the encounter.

Meanwhile, the families of both Chandio and Malik have alleged that their sons were killed in a fake encounter. Khadim Hussain Chandio, the father of Imran Chandio, described his son as a high school student who also worked as a driver.

The parents of both deceased individuals are demanding an impartial inquiry into the incident and the arrest and punishment of the policemen responsible for the killing of their sons.

Another Encounter in Naseem Nagar

In a separate incident, the police in Naseem Nagar shot and injured a suspect before arresting him near the protective embankment of the river Indus. The police had signaled two suspects riding on a motorbike to stop, but they attempted to escape by opening fire on the police.

One of the suspects, identified as Shareef Solangi, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and was apprehended, while the other managed to flee. Solangi has been taken to Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) for surgery.

The police spokesperson mentioned that they are currently investigating Solangi’s previous criminal record.

With ongoing investigations and the families of the deceased suspects alleging foul play, the local community is anxiously awaiting the outcome of the inquiry to determine the truth behind these encounters.
