Celebrities Rally in Support of Late Prophet TB Joshua Following BBC Documentary

In the wake of the controversial documentary released by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) on the late clergyman, Prophet TB Joshua, several celebrities have come forward to defend the deceased religious leader. The three-part documentary accused the late cleric of rape and torture of some church members, sparking a heated debate among the public.

One notable celebrity who has sought out the man of God for help is actress Ronke Oshodi Oke. She recently took to Instagram to share her personal experience with Prophet TB Joshua. According to her, she took her ailing daughter to the pastor to seek healing from asthma, and he successfully delivered her. In her own words, she said, “Initially, I didn’t believe in prophecy, but when I went to church that faithful day, my daughter had Asthma, and to God be the glory, he delivered her. Something came out of her mouth which I didn’t believe, and my junior sister experienced something similar. That was when I started going to TB Joshua’s church. Apart from that, he is a nice man to me and my family. I just want people to know that, for me, he is a nice man and a man of God.”

Another celebrity who has spoken out in support of Prophet TB Joshua is actor Jim Iyke. In 2013, a viral video circulated on social media showing Iyke allegedly speaking like he was possessed by a spirit during a visit to the Synagogue. However, in a subsequent interview, Iyke clarified that he had been advised to take his ailing mother to the church for healing, and his desperation led him there. He said, “I will never be desperate again. Desperation took me there, believing the man of God would heal her (his mother).”

Hanks Anuku, a popular actor, also attested to the healing power of Prophet TB Joshua. He revealed that he was taken to the church, where he was allegedly healed of a mental illness that had plagued him for over seven years. He said, “Yes, I got my healing through TB Joshua. It is our Lord’s doing. I was having issues with my mentality for over seven years. You will notice I have not been that frequent in movies for long. I spent so much money visiting hospitals and doctors without positive results until I was introduced to TB Joshua. I was only watching his TV programme in Ghana and was healed.”

Munachi Abii, a rapper and former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, also visited the church at some point and allegedly met with Prophet TB Joshua, although her reason for going there was not disclosed. Additionally, former Big Brother Naija contestant Kesiena Adjekpovu, known as Kess, expressed his unwavering support for the late Joshua in the wake of the documentary’s release, stating, “T.B. Joshua is still my pastor. BBC should try again.”

Even popular singer Victor AD claimed that Prophet TB Joshua healed him of a skin disease when he was just six years old. Another former BBN housemate, Frodd, shared how the late Joshua had given him a scholarship during his university years and provided him with a daily allowance of N8000 in 2010.

Fausat Balogun, a veteran actress popularly known as Madam Saje, reposted a video of one of the late cleric’s sermons and expressed her belief that his impact and the fight he led for the betterment of lives could not be overshadowed by any claims or institutions, including the BBC.

The outpouring of support from these celebrities highlights the influence and positive impact that Prophet TB Joshua had on their lives. Despite the allegations made in the documentary, many individuals continue to stand by him, praising his spiritual guidance and healing abilities..
