Four Palestinians, including two children, were tragically killed on Friday evening in the occupied West Bank, as Israel continued its raids in the region. The Israeli army’s escalation of incursions into cities, towns, and refugee camps in the West Bank paralleled the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.

In Hebron (Al-Khalil), Israeli occupation forces opened fire on a group of Palestinians near the illegal Jewish settlement of Adora, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. The victims were identified as 19-year-old Ismail Ahmed Abu Jahisha, 16-year-old Mahmoud Arafat Abu Jahisha, and his cousin, Odai Ismaiel Abu Jahisha, also 16. According to the Israeli army, the Palestinians were part of an armed group that attempted to infiltrate the settlement and opened fire on Israeli forces. As a result, the Israeli army shut down the entrances to the towns of Idhna and Tarqumiyah and deployed additional troops around the illegal Jewish settlements.

In Tulkarm, a Palestinian university student was killed and two others were injured during an Israeli military incursion into the town of Zita. The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that the injured were dealt with very serious injuries. Khalid Ahmed Zubeidi, a 19-year-old communications engineering student at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (PTUK), was shot in the abdomen and severely beaten by Israeli soldiers. Despite being transferred to the hospital, Zubeidi tragically succumbed to his injuries. Medical sources noted signs of beatings on his body.

In Fara’a Refugee Camp, two Palestinians were shot and injured following an Israeli military raid. Israeli occupation soldiers obstructed the work of medical teams and searched an ambulance. During the raid, snipers were deployed on rooftops, and the sounds of explosions and live gunfire filled the camp.

These incidents are part of a larger pattern of the Israeli army intensifying its military operations in the West Bank since the start of the Gaza war. Night raids have been conducted in several cities, including Hebron, Nablus, Bethlehem, and Qalqilya.

The tragic loss of life in the occupied West Bank highlights the ongoing violence and instability in the region. The international community must continue to address the root causes of this conflict and work towards a peaceful resolution for the sake of all the affected communities..
