Texas DPS Reports Fatal Car Crash in Moore County: One Person Dead
In a tragic incident that occurred on Friday evening, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has reported a fatal car crash in Moore County, resulting in the death of one person. The incident took place on FM 281 at approximately 7 p.m.

According to the DPS, a sedan was traveling eastbound on FM 281 when, for reasons yet to be determined, the driver veered into the westbound lane and ultimately ended up in the north ditch. The driver has been identified as 82-year-old Jimmy Lamb from Sunray.
Eyewitnesses at the scene have stated that Lamb attempted to correct the steering after entering the wrong lane, but unfortunately, the sedan rolled over, causing Lamb to be ejected from the vehicle. Tragically, Lamb was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
The sedan came to a final rest on its roof in the middle of the roadway, leading to a temporary closure of the area. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but sadly, Lamb was pronounced dead on the scene by Moore County Justice of the Peace Britt Marquez.
The Texas DPS is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the exact cause and any contributing factors. It is crucial for authorities to thoroughly examine the scene, gather evidence, and interview witnesses to gain a comprehensive understanding of what transpired.
