Delivery Driver Arrested Two Years After Sexual Assault in Sacramento
A delivery driver who allegedly sexually assaulted a person in Sacramento in 2021 has been arrested, more than two years after the incident took place. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into the sexual assault that occurred on July 23, 2021, in northern Sacramento County.

According to deputies, the suspect, identified as 45-year-old William Hunter, disguised himself as an Amazon delivery driver and forced his way into the victim’s home, where the assault took place. The victim was reportedly unaware of his identity. Despite collecting evidence at the scene, law enforcement initially struggled to identify the suspect. However, new leads eventually led detectives to Hunter, who was found to be an employee of a delivery service company contracted through Amazon.
Hunter has been booked into jail with a bail set at $1 million. He is facing charges of assault with intent to commit rape while in the commission of a burglary, burglary, and battery. The case is still under investigation.
