Details of the incident have not been released due to an ongoing investigation. However, a probable cause statement reveals that an eyewitness, residing in the same house as Pierce, left before the violence erupted. The witness stated that Pierce called him, expressing frustration over Coleman’s erratic behavior and demands for unknown belongings.

In an attempt to diffuse the situation, the witness instructed Pierce to gather valuable items, including a firearm stored in the kitchen cabinet, and secure them in his room. Tragically, the confrontation escalated within minutes. Pierce called the witness again, stating that he had shot and killed Coleman.

According to the witness, Coleman had forced his way into Pierce’s bedroom, leading to a struggle over the firearm.
