On March 14, Reddix’s lifeless body was discovered in the backseat of a vehicle parked at Mid-Western Auto Sales in Middletown. An autopsy revealed that Reddix died from strangulation and had injuries to her face and body. The day before her body was found, witnesses reported Dollar assaulting Reddix near the Cincinnati State Technical and Community College building.
