Two Youths Killed and Three Injured in Mohali Auto Accident on Airport Road

Mohali: Two youths were killed and three others were seriously injured in a tragic accident on Airport Road in Mohali. The incident occurred at around 6am on Sunday when an unidentified vehicle collided with an auto-rickshaw. The deceased have been identified as Gurpreet Singh and Jassu.

Gurpreet Singh, also known as Gurpreet Singh Goldi, was a resident of Siau village, while Jassu was his maternal uncle’s son from a village near Banur. The auto-rickshaw was hit with such force that it flipped over repeatedly, causing the devastating outcome.

The injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention. The authorities are currently investigating the accident to determine the cause and hold the responsible party accountable.

This tragic incident comes as a stark reminder of the dangers on the roads and the need for strict adherence to traffic rules and regulations. It is crucial for both drivers and pedestrians to prioritize safety and exercise caution at all times.

In recent news, there have been similar accidents reported across different parts of India. In Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh, three individuals lost their lives when a truck collided with an auto-rickshaw in Mehnajpur. The victims have been identified as Sappu Ahmed, Nagendra Chauhan, and an unidentified woman. The local authorities are currently investigating the incident.

In another incident in Mumbai, a 69-year-old auto-rickshaw driver named Pravin Patkar died by suicide by driving his auto into the Gorai creek. The police have recorded an accidental death case and are conducting further investigations. Patkar, who was living away from his family in Charkop’s sector 2, was reportedly unwell, which may have contributed to his state of mind.

Furthermore, the pro-Khalistan activist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, based in the United States, has threatened action on Parliament’s anniversary in response to a foiled assassination attempt by India.
