Three Youth Drown in Tragic Accident, Woman Killed in Scooter-Truck Collision in Jammu Districts

Jammu, Dec 10: Three young men tragically lost their lives when the JCB machine they were riding on overturned and submerged in a river in the village of Sungri in Chassana, Reasi district. The victims have been identified as Nitish Kumar (22), Hoshiyar Singh (25), and Rajinder Kumar (27). The incident took place late Saturday evening.

In a separate incident in Bari Brahmana, Samba district, a woman was killed when a truck collided with the scooter she was riding pillion on. The scooter, bearing registration number JK02CM 5957, was being driven by her husband. The truck involved in the accident had registration number JK02X 2858. The deceased has been identified as Srishta Devi, a resident of Nanak Nagar in Jammu. Unfortunately, her husband, Goverdhan Sharma, also sustained injuries in the collision.

Both Srishta Devi and Goverdhan Sharma were immediately rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Jammu. Tragically, the doctors at the hospital declared Srishta Devi dead upon arrival. The husband continues to receive medical treatment for his injuries. The police have registered a case in connection with the accident.
