Pedestrian Allen M. Moxley, 57, of Hagerstown, Fatally Struck in Dual Highway Crash – Washington County Sheriff’s Office Investigating

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred on Dual Highway on Sunday night. The victim of the crash has been identified as Allen M. Moxley, a 57-year-old resident of Hagerstown. According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to the 1300 block of Dual Highway at around 10 p.m. on Sunday in response to a collision involving a pedestrian and a 2014 Toyota Corolla.

Moxley was immediately transported to Meritus Medical Center, located east of Hagerstown, for medical treatment. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical professionals, Moxley later succumbed to his injuries.

The incident caused the closure of the 1300 block of Dual Highway, which is situated between Mount Aetna Road and Cornell Avenue, until around midnight. This closure was necessary to allow the authorities to carry out their investigation and gather evidence.
