Three individuals have been apprehended after allegedly slitting the throat and decapitating a man in Kannauj district, Uttar Pradesh. The suspects, known as Suraj, Ankur, and Lalit, were friends of the victim and had been invited to his rented accommodation for a party on Sunday evening.
Pradeep, a 30-year-old resident of Pahalwanpurwa in Kannauj, had organized the gathering. However, an argument ensued between Pradeep and his friends, which escalated to the point where the accused slit Pradeep’s throat.

After committing the heinous act, the friends disposed of Pradeep’s body near the farmhouse of former Samajwadi Party MLA Rajeshwar Singh from Etah. They left his body on a road leading from the Ganga Barrage to Bithoor, crushing his head with bricks during the disposal.
Fortunately, the security guard of the neighboring farmhouse witnessed the incident and promptly alerted the Nawabganj police station. Acting on the guard’s information, the authorities swiftly apprehended the three culprits.
During initial interrogation, the accused confessed that the murder occurred due to a dispute that arose while they were intoxicated. Consequently, all three have been charged with murder, as their clothes were found stained with blood.
According to Akmal Khan, ACP Colonelganj, the incident occurred between 3 am and 4 am. Blood was also discovered on an e-rickshaw, in addition to the clothing and hands of the arrested individuals. The forensic team has collected evidence from the crime scene, and the suspects are currently undergoing further questioning.

Initially, one suspect was arrested on the spot, while the remaining two managed to flee. However, law enforcement successfully apprehended the fugitives later on.
The family members of the deceased have left Kannauj for Kanpur, while the body has been sent for post-mortem examination. The investigation into this shocking crime continues.
