Kerala Man Dies in Tragic Car Accident, Two Others Injured: Seenu (29) Identified as Victim

29-year-old man from Kerala has died and two friends have suffered serious injuries after the car they were traveling in plunged into a trench dug up for flyover construction at Gomangalam along the Pollachi-Udumalpet road. The deceased, Seenu (29), passed away while being transported to the hospital, while Sandeep (21) and Rohit (23) were admitted to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital with severe injuries. The Gomangalam police have filed a case regarding the incident.

In another incident, a laborer from Sathya Nagar near Karamadai has been booked under the POCSO Act for allegedly marrying and impregnating a minor girl. The police are currently searching for the accused.

A youth from Anna Nagar in Periyanaickenpalayam limits has been arrested for the murder of his neighbor. The victim, Sivakumar, was reportedly stabbed to death by Balraj following an argument. Balraj, believed to be an alcoholic, has been taken into custody.

The Madurai-Trivandrum Amritha Express experienced a delay of over an hour on Sunday night after hitting an iron pole protruding across the track near Meenakshipuram. The train’s loco pilot immediately halted the train, and the Railway Protection Force unit at Podanur has registered a case. An investigation is currently underway to determine if the obstruction was a deliberate act of crime.

In a separate incident, a lorry driver named Thangavelu from Karur was found dead in the vehicle’s cabin near Kaniyur, close to Karumathampatti. The police suspect that Thangavelu may have suffered a heart attack, as no external injuries were found on the body. The body has been sent to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Furthermore, four individuals, including a father-son duo, were arrested for allegedly assaulting three police personnel at the Sugunapuram outpost. The incident occurred during an inquiry into the reported sale of banned lottery tickets by Abdul Kadar (45), the father. Abdul Kadar, his son Rehman (21), nephew Salman (23), and relative Sahabudeen (48) have been apprehended by the Kuniamuthur police and are currently in judicial custody.
