Four College Students Killed in Tragic Car Accident near Chikkaballapur: Victims Identified

Four college students tragically lost their lives when their car plunged into an open drain near Kelagina Thotta on the outskirts of Chikkaballapur. The incident occurred around 10.30 pm on Saturday. The victims have been identified as Tagore, 21, a resident of Chintamani, Vasanth, 20, and Aryan, 19, from Chikkaballapur, and Pavan, 20, a resident of Hebbal in Bengaluru.

According to Superintendent of Police DL Nagesh, the students were close friends and attended different colleges in Bengaluru. They were on their way to Chikkaballapur when the accident happened. Preliminary investigations suggest that the reckless and negligent driving by Pavan may have been the cause of the accident. Nagesh also mentioned that one of the boys lived near the accident spot.

Passersby and occupants of other vehicles noticed the car in the roadside drain and promptly alerted the authorities. A police team from Chikkaballapur rushed to the scene, along with personnel from Fire and Emergency Services and local villagers. Together, they worked to retrieve the bodies from the mangled car.
