Construction Worker Stabbed by Boarding House Caretaker Over Unpaid Rent
A construction worker was hospitalized after being stabbed by the caretaker of a boarding house in Cebu City. The incident occurred on Sunday, December 10, 2023, in Sitio Anagan, Barangay Apas.

The victim, identified as Vincent Tajanlangit, 38, was attacked after allegedly failing to pay rent for three months. According to the investigation conducted by Major Eraño Regidor of the Mabolo Police Station 4, the suspect, whose name is being withheld pending further investigation, demanded P7,500 in rent from Tajanlangit.
When Tajanlangit refused to pay, a heated argument ensued, escalating to violence. The suspect brandished a hunting knife and stabbed Tajanlangit in the abdomen. Following the attack, Tajanlangit was immediately rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center for urgent medical attention.
Meanwhile, the suspect managed to flee the scene and is currently being pursued by the police. Authorities are actively searching for the perpetrator to bring him to justice.
