19-Year-Old Chicago Man Charged in Armed Robbery, Kamahri Blount Arrested After Two People Injured on NW Side: CPD

CHICAGO – A 19-year-old man from Chicago has been arrested and charged after an armed robbery took place on the city’s Northwest Side on Sunday morning. Kamahri Blount faces charges of aggravated battery, armed robbery, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, according to the police.

Blount was apprehended in the 4100-block of West Berteau Avenue after being identified as the suspect in the robbery. The incident occurred near West Berteau and North Kedvale avenues in the Old Irving Park neighborhood at approximately 7 a.m. Police stated that Blount demanded property at gunpoint from a man and woman in their 20s. He then fired shots at the man and assaulted both victims, resulting in minor injuries.
