A well-liked aviation YouTuber and her father tragically lost their lives in a plane crash in Tennessee on Thursday. The incident occurred just one month after the YouTuber posted a video of herself dealing with an “aircraft malfunction” at an altitude of 4,000 feet.

Jenny Blalock, 45, and her father James, 78, were flying when their plane went down around 11 a.m. Their bodies were found outside the aircraft, which had landed in a remote area that was challenging for rescue teams to access.

Bill Myers, director of the Giles County Office of Emergency Management, described the crash as devastating, with no survivors. The father and daughter had been traveling from Knoxville and were only ten miles away from landing at a city-owned airport when the accident occurred.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated. However, it is worth noting that Jenny Blalock had recently posted a video showing her successfully executing an emergency landing during a previous aircraft malfunction. In the video, Blalock remained calm as she landed the plane after her flight instructor pointed out that the battery had died mid-flight and there were loose screws on the regulator.

Blalock, known as TNFlyGirl in the aviation community, had a popular YouTube channel where she regularly shared videos of her flying adventures. She had a strong bond with her father and often filmed their flights together.

Blalock’s partner, Brett Thees, expressed their deep connection, stating that the duo were not just father and daughter but best friends who did everything together.
