CCTV footage has emerged showing the accused murderers of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, chief of the Karni Sena, before their arrest in Chandigarh. Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathore were captured walking at the Hisar Railway Station in Haryana on December 6, a day after shooting Gogamedi at his home in Jaipur. The footage is crucial evidence in the case.
It has been revealed that all three accused, including their associate Udham Singh, stayed at a hotel in Chandigarh using fake documents. They claimed they were returning from Manali and had plans to travel to Haryana. However, their stay was short-lived as they were arrested from the hotel after nearly an hour. The arrest was made possible due to a joint operation by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police and the Rajasthan Police. Even the hotel owner, Ravi Dogra, was apprehended.

The Chandigarh Police are intensifying their investigation by scanning liquor shops and hotels in the city to gather more information about the accused. In a related development, Ramveer Singh, a resident of Mahendragarh, Haryana, was arrested by the Jaipur Police on December 9 in connection with Gogamedi’s murder. Ramveer was identified as a facilitator for Nitin Fauji.
During the interrogation, the accused revealed that they had planned Gogamedi’s murder a week before the incident. They also disclosed that Naveen Singh Shekhawat, a local shopkeeper who was killed by Gogamedi’s security guards during the attack, was involved in the murder plot. The police further revealed that the shooters, Nitin and Rohit, were given Rs 50,000 each before the murder. Their plan was to first travel to Goa after their Chandigarh visit and then seek shelter in South India before fleeing to another country.
