Mumbai-Pune Expressway bus accident : “Raju Gawde, Second Driver of Pune-Bound Bus, Dies in Khopoli Accident; 7 Others Injured”

Traffic on the expressway was disrupted for a period of time after a tragic accident occurred at 1.40 am in Khopoli, Raigad. The incident took place when a bus traveling from Mumbai to Pune lost control and collided with a trailer truck. According to the Raigad police, the bus driver, Shirish Dhekale, was unable to maintain control over the wheels, resulting in the collision.

Tragically, the second driver of the bus, Raju Gawde, who was sitting beside Dhekale, was killed instantly. Gawde, a resident of Sangli, lost his life in the accident. Additionally, seven passengers on the bus sustained injuries and were being treated in two local hospitals, as reported by the officials.
