Arrests Made in Murder of Rajput Leader Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi
The Delhi police’s Crime Branch have successfully apprehended three individuals in connection to the murder of Rajput leader and Karni Sena chief, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Gogamedi was fatally shot by “house guests” at his residence in Jaipur on December 10.

According to a senior police officer, the three accused persons, Nitin, Rohit, and Udham, were all apprehended in Sector-22 in Chandigarh. Udham has been identified as an associate of Nitin and Rohit.
The incident took place on December 5 when Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was at his residence in Shyam Nagar, Jaipur, along with three other men. Two of the men allegedly fired shots at him, resulting in his death. One of the assailants was killed in the ensuing crossfire.
The 50-year-old Gogamedi gained prominence in 2017 during the protests against director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film, Padmavat. He was the president of the right-wing organization Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena. Previously, he had been associated with Rashtriya Karni Sena, a national-level organization of Rajputs. However, he later split from the group due to a dispute and formed his own outfit.
During the attack, Gogamedi’s security guard attempted to intervene but was also shot at by the assailants. Gogamedi was promptly rushed to a nearby private hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The two remaining assailants fled the scene on a scooter, which they forcibly took from a rider at gunpoint.
