“Bareilly-Nainital Highway accident news” : Tragic Accident in Bareilly: 8 Killed as Car Catches Fire after Head-on Collision with Truck

Eight people, including a child, were tragically killed in a horrific accident on the Bareilly-Nainital Highway in Uttar Pradesh. The accident occurred when a car collided head-on with a dumper on Saturday night. The collision occurred due to a burst tire, and the car’s central locking system malfunctioned, preventing the victims from escaping. The car immediately caught fire after the collision, leaving no chance for those inside to survive.

The victims were identified as Mohd Irfan, Mohd Arif, Shadab, Asim Ali, Alim Ali, Mohd Ayyub, Munne Ali, and Asif. They were residents of Dabora village in the Bahedi area of the district. The group was returning home after attending a marriage ceremony when the driver lost control of the steering wheel, causing the car to enter the opposite lane and collide with the dumper.

Local residents promptly alerted the police, and a rescue operation was initiated by the authorities. The fire department also joined the effort, but unfortunately, no lives could be saved. After receiving the information about the incident, SSP Sushil Chandrabhan Ghule rushed to the spot to assess the situation.

Describing the incident as tragic, the SSP stated that the car caught fire following the collision with the truck, and no one in the car could escape as it was locked. The authorities are conducting a technical inspection to determine the exact cause of the accident.

The bodies of the deceased were sent for autopsy during the midnight hours. The accident has left the community in shock and mourning. The local authorities are urging drivers to ensure the proper functioning of their vehicles and to take necessary precautions to prevent such tragic incidents.
