Arrest Warrant Issued for Akim Alleyne in Manchester Reckless Manslaughter Case

An arrest warrant has been issued for 33-year-old Akim Alleyne of Manchester following a reckless manslaughter charge, according to a statement from the police. The warrant comes after the death of a man, identified as Thomas, whose cause of death was ruled as blunt force trauma to the head and neck by the state medical examiner’s office.

The incident took place on Thursday around 12:30 p.m. near a Domino’s Pizza on Lowell St., where police responded to a reported fight. Upon arrival, they found Thomas unconscious on the sidewalk and immediately provided medical aid.

Witnesses at the scene informed the police that during an argument with Thomas, Alleyne knocked him down and assaulted him on the sidewalk. The suspect briefly left the scene before returning and leaving again as witnesses called 911.

Following an investigation, Alleyne was identified as the suspect. He is currently on probation for a burglary that occurred in June.

The Attorney General’s office stated that all relevant parties have been identified and there is no threat to the general public. However, the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Thomas’s death is still ongoing.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Alleyne’s whereabouts to contact the Manchester police at 603-668-8711. Tips can also be reported anonymously to the Manchester Crimeline at 603-624-4040.
