A 21-year-old man has tragically lost his life in a car accident on Kota Iskandar Highway in Iskandar Puteri. The incident took place at around 4.55am on Saturday near Masjid Kota Iskandar. According to Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Rahmat Ariffin, investigations have revealed that the victim’s vehicle was traveling from Kota Iskandar Highway towards Medini when it crashed into a roundabout. The impact of the collision caused the car to jump over the road divider and collide with a tree.
The victim, identified as Vincent Boo Yu Leng, was trapped in the driver’s seat and had to be extracted using rescue tools by the Iskandar Puteri Fire and Rescue Department. Despite their efforts, Vincent was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical team. His body has been transferred to Hospital Sultanah Aminah for a post-mortem examination.
