On the morning of December 9, 2023, the Egg Harbor Police Department received a distress call regarding two unresponsive individuals at 2909 Fire Road in Egg Harbor Township. Officers promptly arrived at the scene and discovered the lifeless bodies of Thai Tran, 28, and Viet Tran, 53, who were both residents of the address.
A nurse practitioner who was present at the scene pronounced both individuals dead. The South Regional Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the bodies for further examination. The exact cause and manner of death are currently pending autopsies. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Egg Harbor Township Police Department have initiated an investigation into the incident.
