Man Dies Under Mysterious Circumstances at Delhi Police Station
A tragic incident unfolded at a police station in the Dwarka area of New Delhi in the early hours of Thursday morning. A man, identified as Rahul, who had reported an alleged attempted robbery, was found dead under mysterious circumstances.

Rahul, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol, made a distress call to the police, accusing one Azad and other acquaintances of assaulting him during a robbery attempt. The police dispatched a PCR van to the location after receiving the call. However, upon investigation, it was discovered that Rahul was heavily intoxicated.
The investigating officer from Baba Haridas Nagar police station sent Rahul for a medical examination, which revealed a blood alcohol content of 172mg/100ml. The doctor also found abrasions on his left leg.
Despite efforts, the IO was unable to locate the accused, Azad. Due to the possibility of escalating tensions and Rahul’s intoxicated state, he was kept in the police station near the IO’s room. Rahul’s mother visited him around 1 am and demanded action against the accused.
Tragedy struck around 5:30 am when the IO tried to wake Rahul but found him unresponsive. He was immediately rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead. Inquest proceedings are now underway, and a post-mortem will be conducted by a board of doctors to determine the cause of death.

In a separate incident, a 72-year-old man named Ajit Lal Tandon was tragically crushed to death by a speeding vehicle in the Greater Kailash area on November 30. The police have arrested the driver, Tarun Arora, after tracing the offending vehicle. Investigations are ongoing in this case as well.
These incidents highlight the need for prompt and efficient police action to ensure the safety and well-being of citizens. The authorities must address any lapses and take necessary measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
