A suspect has been arrested by the Plano Police Department in connection to the fatal shooting of a man in North Texas. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening in the 3300 block of P Avenue, where police responded to reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound. Plano Fire-Rescue transported him to a nearby hospital, but sadly, he was pronounced dead. The victim, identified as Mohamadou Thera, a 43-year-old Sherman resident, was an Uber driver who had migrated to the United States in search of a better life.
On Thursday, the police apprehended Jaheim Kemp, a 21-year-old from Plano, in connection with the shooting. Murder charges against Kemp are currently pending. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the Plano Police Department is urging anyone with additional information to come forward and contact their Crimes Against Persons Tip Line.
