CAMP SPRINGS, Md. — A tragic accident occurred in Prince George’s County early Friday morning, claiming the lives of a woman and a dog. The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Kerri Snead, who was from Virginia. Fortunately, another person who was traveling with Snead managed to escape the crash unharmed.
The incident took place on Outer Loop Interstate 495, where Maryland State Police troopers responded to reports of a collision just before 3 a.m. Snead’s vehicle was heading south when it encountered a mechanical issue, forcing her, the passenger, and the dog to exit the car. In an attempt to cross the Outer Loop, tragedy struck as Snead and the dog were struck by a Hyundai.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, but unfortunately, both Snead and the dog succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the Hyundai was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries. No charges have been filed against them at this time.
