Police in Red Oak have arrested a woman who has confessed to the murder of a man earlier this week. The incident occurred on December 4th when authorities responded to reports of an unresponsive man in the front yard of a house on Vinson Lane. The man, identified as 54-year-old Jess Deon Dotson, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered large areas of pooled blood and what appeared to be gunshot wounds on the victim. After conducting interviews with witnesses, investigators identified Yaralitza Dee Shaw, a 33-year-old acquaintance of Dotson, as a person of interest. Shaw was located and brought in for questioning in Coppell.

During the interview, Shaw confessed to the murder of Dotson. She has since been arrested and charged with murder. Her bond has been set at $500,000.
